Job Description:

Join a busy neuro, stroke, and trauma step-down unit as a Stepdown Neuro Registered Nurse. This 13-week assignment offers a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, primarily during the day with occasional nights and every other weekend required. You will be responsible for caring for patients with diagnoses such as stroke, neurosurgery, trauma, and general med/surg or IMC/Stepdown levels of care. The role involves working on a unit where telemetry and NIHSS assessments are essential, and experience with lumbar drains, stroke education, and neuro-specific procedures is required. Prepare for this role by wearing navy blue scrubs and shaving for mask fit testing, as PAPR/ CAPRs are not permitted. This position provides a chance to hone neuro and stroke care skills in a fast-paced environment that handles intensive neuro and trauma cases.
