Job Description:

Join a vibrant OR team as a registered nurse specializing in perioperative services at a community hospital in Alexandria, VA. This contract offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced surgical environment operating seven OR suites, with an average caseload of 15-25 cases daily. Your responsibilities will include scrubbing in on procedures such as general, colorectal, orthopedics—including total joints and spine—urology, plastics, and ENT, all while utilizing your expertise in DaVinci Xi robotic surgery. The role demands BLS certification for RN and tech staff, CST credentials, and a Virginia license. You'll be expected to scrub in on complex cases, participate in a mix of scheduled and on-call hours, and contribute to dynamic surgical teams during 10-hour shifts. The hospital maintains a professional atmosphere with comprehensive orientation, including five days of unit-specific training before starting full duties.
