Job Description:

Join our team for a 13-week contract working in a busy Med Surg Intermediate Care unit in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves 12-hour night shifts, primarily from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with the chance to float across higher acuity areas like Telemetry, Trauma, and ICU—experience that keeps your skills sharp and your work interesting. You'll manage a mix of stable patients including those on ventilators or trachs, with a typical patient ratio of 4:1. The unit is fast-paced and requires a resilient, adaptable nurse ready to handle diverse cases such as sepsis, trauma, GI bleeds, and spinal injuries. You'll be working 36 guaranteed hours weekly, with opportunities for low census hours during holidays and low census periods. Certifications in WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS are required, along with at least two years of relevant experience, including prior travel nursing. Charting with EPIC is preferred, and your ability to work independently in a high-volume environment will set you apart.
