Job Description:

Join Aspirus Wausau as a PACU RN, where you will be the vital link in the post-anesthesia recovery process. This role involves managing patients in a 14-bay PACU setting, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, primarily focusing on post-cardiac and pediatric cases. You’ll be working four 10-hour days in a week, providing care during variable start times (0730, 0800, or 0900), with weekends on a rotating call schedule every fifth weekend. Expect to stabilize ICU patients before transferring them, handle a mixed caseload including general, spine, neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, PV, and ortho cases, and chart using Epic or other electronic charting systems. This assignment offers a chance to sharpen your skills across diverse cases in a hospital setting, all while enjoying a flexible schedule that keeps your workweek engaging.
