Job Description:

This labor and delivery nursing assignment in Seattle offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-risk obstetrics setting. You will be responsible for supporting midwifery clients, private OBs, and adult recovery services, all while managing electronic fetal monitoring and providing direct newborn care. The role requires circulating during deliveries, performing assessments, and administering medications such as Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate. You’ll work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled, with float requirements to postpartum, antepartum, and potentially sister facilities. Expect a vibrant environment with approximately 15 patients daily and 500-600 deliveries each month. This assignment emphasizes high-risk experience and the ability to thrive in high acuity scenarios, with a focus on delivering excellent patient and newborn care during every delivery.
