Job Description:

Join us for a 13-week contract on the Med Surg unit at a well-regarded hospital in Murphysboro, Illinois. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, providing essential support in a unit that blends medical-surgical care with swing bed and occasional PCU patients. This role offers a chance to hone your skills in a caring environment with manageable patient ratios, balanced according to patient needs—typically 1:5 for Medsurg, 1:5-6 for Swing Bed, and 1:3-4 for PCU when patients are on drips. You'll be part of a highly engaged team that values shared decision-making and safety—recognized through the Pathways to Excellence designation. No on-call duties are required, and every other holiday and weekend are off.
