Job Description:

Join us in Rapid City, South Dakota, for an engaging 13-week travel contract as a Stepdown RN on a mixed acuity unit that combines Intermediate Care, Telemetry, and MedSurg. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including post-surgical, neurovascular, orthopedic, and general medical cases. You’ll be part of a supportive team managing patient loads of up to 4:1, with a focus on complex cases such as neuro interventions, spinal surgeries, and cardiovascular conditions. Expect to interpret cardiac strips, manage chest tubes, and perform trach and wound care—no patient care responsibilities, but a vibrant environment for skilled RNs looking to deepen their clinical expertise. The shifts are 12 hours during daytime, providing a rhythm that balances professional growth with personal downtime. Experience, EPIC proficiency, and flexibility are all valued, with the bonus of working in a facility that emphasizes teamwork and continuous learning.
