Job Description:

Join a 13-week travel assignment as a Stepdown Registered Nurse in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Working 12-hour night shifts, you will care for patients managing conditions such as heart failure, atrial fibrillation, respiratory distress, and stroke. This fast-paced unit sees frequent admissions and discharges, giving you the opportunity to use your clinical judgment across a broad range of stepdown needs.

The role includes interpreting cardiac rhythms, managing CPAP, and titrating medications such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin. Scheduling follows a cyclic pattern, with every-other-weekend coverage and one major and one minor holiday required. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. An open-book skills assessment is completed during orientation, with resources provided.
