Job Description

Take your cardiac nursing experience to a 13-week contract in Newburgh, Indiana, supporting overnight admissions, procedure recovery, and cardiac observation. This role is designed for an experienced RN who is comfortable with pre- and post-cath lab and EP procedures, PACU recovery, cardiac surgery admissions, TAVR/LAAO recoveries, antiarrhythmics, and cardiac observation patients.

You will work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Responsibilities include telemetry and 12-lead EKG interpretation, IV starts, radial sheath removal, TR band management, arterial line management, cardioversion support, trending troponins, and initiating or titrating cardiac and heparin drips. Nurses may float to cardiac, stepdown, or telemetry units, with night-shift floating expected at least once per week.

Applicants must have at least two years of specialty experience, one completed travel assignment, an Indiana RN license, AHA BLS and ACLS, and NIHSS certification. EPIC experience is required, and CUPID experience is preferred. Telemetry testing is required. This assignment is not available to candidates living within a 40-mile radius.
