Job Description:

Join a correctional healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse in the James Corrections Health Unit in Columbus, Ohio. You'll be floating between Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) shifts, providing essential patient management in a secure environment. This role involves administering medications, monitoring cardiac rhythms with telemetry, managing IV therapies, and supporting inmates with various diagnoses including active oncology conditions. EPIC charting is required, and oncology experience is preferred but not mandatory. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts, with assignments rotating every four weeks based on staffing needs. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a correctional hospital setting with a focus on cancer treatment and complex medical conditions.
