Job Description:

Join a specialized cardiac stepdown unit as a registered nurse, working 12-hour night shifts for a 13-week contract in Washington, DC. This role offers an engaging opportunity to care for patients with diagnoses like CHF, NSTEMI, and arrhythmias, primarily focusing on cardiac and pulmonary conditions. You'll manage frequent IV drips such as Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex, while utilizing Cerner electronic health records. The unit features 48 dedicated cardiac beds, with occasional pulmonary and cardiac surgery patients, providing a chance to sharpen your skills in a focused setting. This contract requires a minimum of 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience, a current RN license in the state, and certifications including NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS. A BSN degree is highly desired.
