Job Description:

Join the NICU Level III team at John Muir Walnut Creek, a facility that cares for over 225 newborns each month. This contract position is perfect for experienced neonatal nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing complex cases involving preterm infants, respiratory distress, and postoperative care. You'll provide specialized care to neonates requiring ventilator support, including IMV and HFOV, and work alongside neonatologists and hospitalists during day hours. The role involves admitting NICU patients, floating to 1-2 units per shift, and ensuring high standards of safety and accuracy within the EPIC documentation system. An engaging challenge awaits those who are ready to apply a broad skill set, including starting IVs, managing invasive lines, and performing basic procedures, all while adhering to professional dress and safety protocols.
