Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers an engaging opportunity for Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of PCU experience, especially those comfortable working in a fast-paced cardiac stepdown setting. The role involves providing specialized patient monitoring and intervention for a variety of cardiac and medical conditions on a 24-bed unit. Travelers will rotate through cardiac and medical stepdown units, managing complex cases such as post-CABG, lung surgeries, respiratory failure, and sepsis, with responsibilities including titrating cardiac drips, managing lines and drains, and supporting patients with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring. The position requires passing an EKG competency exam and holding certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week period, with a schedule of four days one week and three days the next, plus every other weekend rotation.
