Job Description:

This orthopedic neuro unit in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a dedicated RN for 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week contract. You'll be working in a 33-bed unit offering private rooms with a mix of elective surgeries including hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as neuro and general MedSurg cases. Your responsibilities will include managing vitals, IV pump setups, and assisting with patient care tasks, all while maintaining a focus on ortho patients with PCA pumps. Expect a team with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by charge nurses 24/7 and patient care techs assisting with vitals, ADLs, and Foley removals. Experience with EPIC, ortho, and PCA pumps is required. The role offers an engaging environment where you'll contribute to recovery after complex surgeries and neuro procedures in private rooms, with a shift structure that allows for self-scheduling and a blending of day and night needs.
