Job Description:

Join a travel contract as a Med/Surg and Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse in Rochester, NY, where your day-to-day work centers on cardiac and stroke-focused care. This assignment runs on a consistent 12-hour day schedule, with shifts scheduled for 07:00–19:00 (3x12). You’ll partner with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) who complete vital signs, blood glucose checks, and EKGs, helping keep your workflow focused on RN-level priorities.

A key part of this role is being confident with telemetry—interpreting and managing dysrhythmias—and supporting rapid response situations using Rapid Response Teams as needed. Additional required competencies include phlebotomy, IV placement, peripheral line care/management, oxygen therapy using nasal cannula and oxygen face masks, and comfort with non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions. Epic charting is used on-site, and you’ll work with standard unit equipment such as hoyer lifts.
