Job Description:

Join a fast-paced post-surgical inpatient setting in Wausau, Wisconsin as a travel RN focused on post-recovery care for adult and geriatric patients along the surgical care continuum. This role is ideal for an experienced Med Surg nurse with Level II Trauma experience who can confidently prioritize, multitask, and support the team while managing day-to-day unit flow.

You’ll work 12-hour nights in a schedule that follows 7p–7a shifts, with every other weekend and holiday coverage. The unit is a 40-bed inpatient area that typically averages 10–15 admissions per day (with the highest volume on day/pm), and you may encounter lower census periods where the facility may request reduced shift hours in 4-hour increments. Charting is completed in Epic, and you’ll use Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps.
