Job Description:

Join a CVOR Surgical Services team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as a Contract CVOR Tech supporting a wide range of adult and geriatric surgical cases. This assignment runs 10-hour days Monday through Friday (06:30–17:00) for 13 weeks. You’ll rotate through both circulating and scrubbing responsibilities, helping keep surgical workflows smooth and efficient from case prep to turnover. The schedule includes on-call commitment of 10 days per month, including one weekend/month.

The ideal traveler brings 2+ years of CVOR experience, plus BCLS, and hands-on circulate and scrub experience. CNOR certification and scrub experience are preferred. Orientation is 36 hours, and scrubs are provided. Work includes complex cardiac and thoracic specialties such as CABG (with and without valve repair/replace), valve procedures, VATS, thoracotomy, mediastinoscopy, TAVR, mitral clip, and other CVOR-supported interventions.

A note on flexibility: return to work (RTO) after booking isn’t allowed and RTO cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation and DNR.

Expect comfortable daytime temperatures with a mix of sunny and partly cloudy days. Evenings can feel cooler, and occasional rain showers are possible, so having a light layer and weather-ready gear is helpful.
