Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced, high-stakes Bay Area Emergency Department setting as a travel Emergency Department professional. You’ll support a 1st-floor ED team in Corpus Christi, working alongside a charge and triage leadership structure with 4–5 nurses per shift (plus mid-shift coverage), ultrasound support, and 1–2 techs depending on the shift. The focus is on low acuity ESI 4 & 5 (with occasional ESI 6), while still being part of a unit transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma—an opportunity to grow your trauma toolkit and be part of meaningful system upgrades.

On 12-hour days, you’ll help deliver timely, accurate work using Meditech and vital signs flowing into the chart, with common ED tasks including assessments, documentation, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IVs, urine collection, and lab draws. Expect opportunities to engage with stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients as protocols require.

To be considered, candidates must have Level II or Level III trauma experience and current certifications: TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, and BLS. Preferred credentials include CEN or TCRN and CPI. Teamwork matters here—huddles at 7am and 7pm are mandatory unless providing critical care at the time of the huddle. Light seasonal fun is encouraged: wear your team jersey (example Astros, Cowboys) as part of the Sunday spirit.
