Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Post Surgical/Med-Surg environment in Wausau, Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract. This role focuses on post-recovery care for adult and geriatric patients, working within a post-surgical unit that supports care across the continuum. Expect a steady pace with frequent admissions (averaging 10–15 per day, highest on Day/PM), an inpatient unit operating at high occupancy during the week, and a typical length of stay of 2–3 days (with exceptions for joint cases).

Shift structure includes 12-hour nights (7p–7a) with every-other-weekend and holiday coverage. You’ll chart in Epic and use Rovers for medication scanning and Alaris pumps. Trauma Level II experience is required, and prior travel experience is required—bringing your readiness for fast turnarounds, teamwork, and prioritization when the unit hits its busiest moments. (A light sprinkle of “post-surgical hustle” is part of the job—just don’t overdo it.)
