Job Description:

Work on a MedSurg/Tele unit in Charlotte, North Carolina, supporting patients with a mix of medical and post-procedure needs. This travel contract is built around 12-hour nights, with staffing typically running at 1:6 on nights (with potential surge staffing up to 1:7–8). You’ll handle core MedSurg/Tele competencies including cardiac rhythm interpretation and experience with non-titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone, along with general medical/surgical skills for tubes/drains, IV starts, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes. Expect common diagnoses such as DKA, sepsis, CHF, AKI, PNA, and diabetes, plus surgical cases including pancreatitis and ortho total joints (knees/hips).

EPIC documentation, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors are part of the daily workflow. There’s no remote Tele monitoring—unit staff are responsible for reading and posting every shift. You’ll join a unit culture described as welcoming and team-focused, with 24/7 support from RT for nebulizer treatments, phlebotomy, and an IV/VAT team.

Expect generally mild, changeable weather with warm daytime temperatures and cooler evenings. Humidity can rise, with occasional showers moving through.
