Job Description:

Join a dedicated team as a Per Diem Registered Nurse in a Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a vibrant teaching hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina. You'll work the night shift, spanning 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing vital support to a unit caring for critically ill patients. This role involves managing patient needs within a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5, requiring at least two years of experience and certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIH. Attention to detail is key, especially as passing the EKG exam is mandatory—no exceptions. The assignment offers the chance to float within scope to meet unit demands, and there are opportunities to work a 36 or 48-hour schedule, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours. Travelers should be prepared for a fast-paced, critical environment without travel pairs and with a guaranteed call-off policy that ensures hours are protected once two shifts are missed.
