Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract working in a 16-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting in Kalispell, Montana. This role involves providing care for patients with diagnoses like sepsis, respiratory compromise, CHF, COPD, DKA, and post-cardiac procedures. The position requires flexibility to float between units such as ICU, MedSurg, and behavioral health, with a primary focus on intermediate care. You will manage a patient load of 1:3, administer a variety of drips including insulin and nitro, and perform IV starts and central line blood draws. The schedule features 12-hour days with weekend rotations and working two out of three holidays, offering a unique opportunity to experience the diverse healthcare landscape of Montana’s scenic region. The assignment emphasizes hands-on support within the department, with orientation provided on policies, equipment, and competencies.
