Job Description:

Join a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit in Anchorage as a Registered Nurse specializing in Obstetrics. This 13-week contract offers a chance to step into a fast-paced environment with approximately 7 to 14 deliveries daily, including high-risk cases and inductions. Your role will involve managing labor and antepartum patients, with exposure to a variety of clinical scenarios that challenge and enhance your skills. Most shifts are night shifts, running 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and the position may require floating within related units to meet hospital needs. Candidate must have their Alaska RN license in hand or be prepared to obtain it within 48 hours of signing. The position emphasizes independence and experience with charge responsibilities—training will be provided if needed. Be prepared for a schedule of every other weekend shifts, with guaranteed hours of 60 biweekly.
