Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers a chance for experienced Labor & Delivery RNs to step into a level 2 maternity unit in Dixon, Illinois, working 12-hour night shifts. You'll be caring for high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and nursery patients, including those in baby-friendly practices. The role involves working alongside permanent staff, with occasional rotation to other departments during surge times, and requires a focus on antepartum, postpartum, and nursery care without scrub or circulate responsibilities during C-sections. This assignment provides an opportunity to hone neonatal skills and experience a facility with 80 beds, including a unit with 7 beds plus overflow, following AWHONN staffing guidelines. The position emphasizes dependability, positivity, and motivation, and offers a comprehensive orientation, including 3 days of on-unit training and testing. Transportation and facility amenities include 24/7 pharmacy, EPIC charting, and provided scrubs.
