Job Description:

This 13-week contract places you on a vibrant 29-bed stepdown/MedSurg unit in Morgantown, WV, featuring a mix of medical patients and diverse cases. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, providing critical care to patients with diagnoses ranging from respiratory support with CPAP and BiPAP to medication titrations involving heparin, insulin, and pain medications. The unit is still under construction, poised to open its doors fully in early 2026, offering a unique opportunity to be part of a brand-new, evolving setting. Your responsibilities include managing patient loads of up to six med-surg patients or three stepdown patients, with a focus on titrating drips per physician orders and utilizing Epic electronic health records. Collaborating with charge RNs and support staff such as Clinical Associates, you'll ensure smooth operations around the clock while maintaining the flexibility to float between units as needed. This assignment is ideal for experienced nurses comfortable handling complex medical cases and working in a fast-paced environment that values adaptability and clinical expertise.
