Job Description:

This registered nurse position in the ICU offers a chance to work in a mixed-unit setting with patients suffering from complex medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma conditions. The role involves managing diverse cases like ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-surgical, and trauma patients, often requiring rapid assessments and critical decision-making. Expect to handle high-acuity situations with patient ratios typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:3, and to work alongside a supportive team including nurse aides, physicians, and specialists. The assignment features 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week period, providing ample opportunity to hone advanced critical care skills in a fast-paced environment. Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamics, IV medications, proning, and ICU-specific technology such as Epic and Alaris pumps is essential. This role is ideal for an experienced ICU RN ready to handle complex cases independently and comfortably float within adult units as needed. Be prepared to meet certification requirements like TNCC and ACLS, and possibly support precepting students.
