Job Description:

This step-down registered nurse position offers an engaging experience in a 36-bed unit specializing in open heart management, including procedures like CABG, valve surgeries, and TAVR. You'll handle post-op cardiac care, monitor advanced telemetry, and support patients with complex respiratory cases such as pneumothorax and hemothorax. The role requires hands-on skills with cardiac drips, EKG interpretation, and an understanding of high-acuity cardiac patients. Working primarily during 12-hour night shifts, you'll be part of a team that values technical expertise and adaptability. The assignment stands out for its focus on post-surgical cardiac care in a fast-paced environment where your experience with CABG and SD/PCU units will be vital. Be prepared to float to various units as needed, supporting diverse patient needs while utilizing your skills to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
