Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit in Winnemucca, Nevada, for a 13-week contract working 36 hours each week. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in various aspects of maternity care, including low-risk labor, antepartum testing, postpartum support, and stabilization of sick babies prior to transfer. As part of your duties, you'll function across LDRP, postpartum, and sick baby nursery settings, providing comprehensive support during each stage of the birthing process. The setting is equipped with four LDRP beds, two postpartum beds, and an adjacent OR suite for C-sections, ensuring a well-rounded experience for skilled OB RNs. This assignment is ideal for RNs with a minimum of one year of true LDRP experience who are comfortable managing routine and high-acuity cases, and who can work independently within a team. Your role will include managing IV drips via infusion devices, interpreting fetal monitoring strips, and assisting in high-stakes situations with limited neonatology support on-site. Be prepared for a collaborative environment that values resourcefulness, flexibility, and expertise in obstetric nursing.
