Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you in a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Working 12-hour night shifts, you'll rotate between two units—one with 34 beds and another with 25—and provide specialized care for patients recovering from cardiac, stroke, and post-procedure conditions. Expect to perform procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, and central line dressing changes. Your expertise in cardiac monitoring, drips—including insulin, heparin, and cardiac medications—and advanced skills like BLS, ACLS, and EKG rhythm interpretation will be vital. The unit fosters a supportive, teamwork-focused environment with self-scheduling and a "care like family" culture that many travelers find welcoming—most choosing to extend after their initial contract.
