Job Description:

This travel opportunity places you in a 12-bed stroke and stepdown unit located in Shreveport, Louisiana. As a Registered Nurse, you'll handle a variety of complex cases such as CVA/TIA patients needing TPA, spinal surgeries like ACDF and laminectomy, and overflow from the stepdown unit including AFIB/RVR, DKA, COPD, and post-Heart Cath. With a 12-hour night shift schedule, you will be responsible for managing cardiac monitors, charting in Meditech Expanse, and supporting a team that includes charge nurses, RTs, and hospitalists. The role emphasizes procedural skills like chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and supporting telemetry monitoring, all within a unit that promotes traveler-friendly culture. The assignment provides an engaging balance of independence and team collaboration, perfect for experienced RNs looking for a dynamic and rewarding travel experience.
