Job Description:

Join a 24-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry overflow unit in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where your 12-hour night shifts focus on steady rhythms of care and sharp clinical decision-making. This role supports a tele-monitored setting—telemetry monitoring is handled on another unit by a tech—so you’ll be responsible for accurately assessing and responding to dysrhythmias and ensuring seamless coordination during handoffs using SBAR and unit workflows in Epic.

The unit operates with team support (including CNAs) and maintains typical staffing around 1:6–7 on the med/surg/tele overflow unit. You may float to sister units as needed, with weekends required every other schedule. You’ll complete unit orientation (36 hours) and participate in hospital orientation during the first week, with availability for classes each day. A single, light touch of fun: night shift here is all about teamwork—arrive ready to plug in, find your flow, and keep the pace steady.

This is a 13-week travel contract. Prior traveler experience is required, and first-time travelers are not accepted. RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Weather:

Expect mild days with cooler evenings, occasional breezes, and mostly comfortable outdoor conditions—great for quick walks between shifts.
