Job Description:

This RN position in the Emergency Department offers a hands-on experience in a busy, non-trauma teaching hospital setting with 44 licensed beds and a dedicated ED area. You’ll be managing patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, chest pain, MI, stroke, and minor trauma, providing critical care interventions like cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, and medication administration. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week contract, with a focus on maintaining patient safety and supporting a team of nurses, CNAs, and physicians. An important note: while first-time travelers are considered, prior ED experience and adaptability to floating across several nearby facilities are preferred to ensure seamless coverage across multiple units and locations. This role provides a vibrant environment for clinicians looking to apply their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced setting while experiencing a unique regional community. The hospital also emphasizes efficient use of technology such as Epic EMR, Phillips monitors, and Alaris pumps to support patient care.
