Job Description:

This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced IMC/Stepdown/PCU RNs seeking a hands-on role in a busy Level I trauma center in Springfield, Illinois. You'll be working 12-hour days (06:45-19:15) on a rotating schedule, with every other weekend required. Your daily responsibilities will include monitoring telemetry, managing post-cardiac procedures, and providing specialized care for patients with complex medical needs such as neurology, orthopedics, and respiratory support. The role offers the chance to utilize advanced skills like interpreting dysrhythmias, managing cardiac drips, caring for ventilated patients, and handling various invasive procedures. The facility expects a minimum of one year of experience in similar settings, along with current BLS and NIH certifications; ACLS is preferred. This assignment provides an engaging environment for clinicians comfortable with float requirements and who possess a proactive approach to patient management.
