Job Description:

This NICU travel contract offers an immersive experience caring for extremely premature and sick neonatal patients in a bustling, specialized unit. As a registered nurse, you'll manage a variety of complex cases such as BPD, HIE, feeding intolerance, and respiratory support, including HFNC, CPAP, NAVA, and conventional ventilation. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts for 12 weeks, providing both clinical expertise and comfort to fragile newborns in a high-acuity setting with patient-to-staff ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:3. Strict adherence to NICU protocols and certifications like NRP and BLS is essential, as well as proficiency in caring for gestations down to 32 weeks and weighing over 1500 grams. This assignment is distinguished by the necessity for experience in titrating drips such as BP medications, TPN, D10, and insulin, with opportunity to work alongside neonatologists and house supervisors. Do not submit if there are any license hits involving medication diverting, as these will lead to immediate contract cancellation.
