Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract positions you in a Stepdown/Med Surg unit specializing in intermediate patient care. You will work 12-hour night shifts in a unit that manages patients with respiratory issues, infections like UTI, AKI, and chest pain. Your responsibilities include monitoring titratable drips such as Heparin, insulin, and Cardizem, and collaborating closely with charge nurses and house supervisors. This role offers a unique chance to gain experience in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient stabilization and observation, all while working with RT equipment like CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen devices. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:3 in stepdown and 1:5–6 on the floor, with ample opportunity to refine critical care skills in a supportive setting.
