Job Description:

Join a renowned teaching hospital in Kansas City, MO, as a PCU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. This role offers the unique challenge of night shifts—12-hour overnight rotations from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM—providing an opportunity to sharpen your skills in cardiac and telemetry units. You'll be responsible for interpreting dysrhythmias, managing cardiovascular post-procedures, and working within a team to handle emergency responses. Flexibility may be required to float between units, and experience in cardiac monitoring and emergency response is essential.

This assignment is perfect for nurses with at least two years of cardiac experience, comfortable with various procedures such as post-angiogram care, cardiac drips, and ventilator management. The hospital recognizes certifications like BLS and ACLS, and prior teaching hospital experience is preferred. Be prepared to participate in weekend shifts and charge nurse duties, with guaranteed hours of three shifts per week, totaling 36 hours weekly.
