Job Description:

Join a busy histology laboratory in Atlanta, Georgia, working as a Histology Technician in a pathology setting that processes specimens from surgery, accessioning in Cerner, and preparing slides through embedding, cutting, and staining. This 16-week contract involves evening shifts from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with a commitment of 40 hours weekly. The role requires at least 2 years of experience in a pathology laboratory, ASCP certification (HT/HLT), and a background in histology technologist training or an Associate’s degree in sciences. You'll be a key part of a team that handles tissue processing and slide preparation for diagnostic purposes, with the opportunity to work during major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s, and one minor holiday.
