Job Description:

Join the NICU team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls for a 13-week travel contract that offers the opportunity to work in a Level 3 neonatal intensive care setting. As a NICU travel nurse, you will care for critically ill newborns, including those post-surgery with ostomies and Broviac catheters, while managing ventilators such as BCPAP and NAVA. The schedule features 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with four weekend shifts every four weeks. This assignment allows you to hone your neonatal skills in a busy, high-acuity environment, with a patient-to-staff ratio ranging from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. Expect to operate advanced equipment like oscillators and therapeutic hypothermia devices, and document using Neonatal Notes Manager (Isoprime) and Meditech. If you thrive in collaborative settings and are comfortable with central lines and neonatal ventilatory support, this contract offers a rewarding experience as you support delicate infants in a vibrant hospital setting.
