Job Description:

Join this step-down nursing assignment in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where you'll provide specialized care to oncology and chemo patients on a dedicated unit. As a registered nurse with oncology experience, you'll administer chemotherapy via IV, start IVs, and utilize equipment such as Welch Allyn vital sign towers, sigma IV pumps, and EPIC for documentation. This role offers a chance to work night shifts on 12-hour rotations, helping stabilize patients in a setting that requires both technical expertise and compassionate bedside manner. If you enjoy a routine that balances work and personal time, this contract is a great fit—plus, there’s no RTO for the July 4th holiday! Experience in PCU or step-down units, along with a current Michigan RN license and BLS certification, are essential. High priority is given to candidates with ONCC or ONS certification, or pending credentials. Prepare to work every other weekend, with some floating to other med-surg areas including the ER and acute units. Support staff ratios are typically 1:4-6, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate preferences.
