Job Description:

This Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse role offers a hands-on opportunity to provide specialized care during night shifts in a busy hospital setting. You'll be involved in monitoring and supporting women throughout active labor, labor induction, scheduled and unscheduled C-sections, and postpartum care, all while managing advanced monitoring equipment like Phillips monitors and Periwatch systems. The position requires managing multiple complex cases, such as hypertensive disorders and antepartum patients, with a focus on safe and compassionate patient support. Expect to work with a dedicated team adhering to AWHONN staffing guidelines, often with one-to-one patient ratios during active labor, and using advanced beds, pumps, and monitoring devices to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role is uniquely demanding but rewarding for those who thrive on hands-on patient interaction in a fast-paced environment.
