Job Description:

Join a respected outpatient oncology clinic for a 13-week travel assignment at the Neag Cancer Center in Farmington, CT. This role involves providing essential support in a medical oncology and hematology outpatient setting, primarily working 8-hour daytime shifts from 8a to 5p, with no weekends, on-call duties, or major holidays. The position emphasizes patient interaction through answering triage calls, solving problems, and coordinating with the clinical team—offering a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes operations that keep patient care smooth and effective. Prior experience with oncology patients, outpatient ambulatory care, and familiarity with CT licenses or compact licenses are essential. Additionally, certification in ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy is required. This role does not involve administering infusion therapies but may involve working closely with nursing staff in the chemotherapy infusion area. The position is perfect for experienced professionals who enjoy team collaboration and are comfortable handling patient-related discussions in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
