Job Description:

Join a dedicated team in a Women's Services unit specializing in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care. As a registered nurse in this 13-week contract, you'll work alongside experienced OB colleagues in a secure unit with six labor and postpartum beds and a dedicated C-section suite. Your role will involve caring for laboring women, postpartum patients, and their newborns, often managing high-risk and critical conditions such as hypertensive crises and hemorrhages. Expect to perform newborn stabilization, both in labor and delivery and immediately postpartum, including initial care for well babies and their mothers. You'll work 12-hour rotating shifts, primarily night shifts, with a focus on autonomous decision-making and independent patient management, especially during weekends and nights. This assignment offers a rewarding chance to be part of a facility that supports OB and newborn care 24/7, working with shared hospitalist coverage and on-call anesthesia.
