Job Description:

This Stepdown Neuro Registered Nurse role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity at a prominent medical center in Omaha. You’ll be caring for patients with neurological conditions such as strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, and tumors on a 48-bed unit that features specialized EEG monitoring beds. The shift involves 12-hour day hours, with responsibilities including managing up to five Med Surg patients with mixed acuity levels, including telemetry and stepdown care. Expect to float within scope to meet hospital needs, including possible coverage at other campus units like Neuro or Trauma. The position requires prior experience in a large urban hospital, EPIC charting proficiency, and familiarity with drips. Nurses should be prepared for a fast-paced environment that combines technical skill with compassionate patient interaction. The role is dynamic, with a focus on neurological care, making each shift both engaging and unique.
