Job Description:

Join IU Health in Bloomington, Indiana, as a PCU Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role involves providing specialized care on a combined PCU and MedSurg unit that handles a mix of acuity levels, giving you the chance to experience a broad spectrum of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS. The position requires comfort with dysrhythmia interpretation, post-cardiac surgery management, invasive line care, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. You will work across various patient populations, including CV surgery, thoracic surgery, and oncology, utilizing advanced equipment in private rooms. This assignment offers the unique opportunity to gain charge nurse experience, with a flexible schedule that guarantees 36 hours per week, primarily during overnight hours.
