Job Description:

Step into a travel contract as a PCU Registered Nurse (PCU RN) in Anchorage, Alaska, where night shifts run on a reliable 3x12 schedule. This stepdown/step-up unit supports a wide mix of adult medical patients and specialty needs, with a co-care/virtual nursing model built into daily workflow. You’ll work alongside a Virtual RN and CNA for each patient—your role is focused on bedside RN responsibilities in a setting that regularly includes cardiac, respiratory, neuro/renal overflow, and complex medical-surgical presentations.

Night coverage includes floating within scope to meet facility needs, including lower acuity units. Expect responsibilities that center on safety rounds, admission/discharge support in collaboration with the Virtual RN, rounding, education, and ongoing patient plan coordination.

Conditions are typically cool with a mix of clear days and cloudier stretches, and you can expect occasional precipitation. Anchorage nights often feel crisp, so layering is key.
