Job Description:

Join a team-focused RN role in the Clinical Decision Unit within the Medical Unit at a regional acute-care facility in Cape Girardeau, MO. This is an observation/admission-focused position (not an ER role) supporting a steady flow of high-volume admissions, where your day-to-day work centers on coordinating, planning, directing, and implementing the nursing process in a medical-surgical setting. You’ll be part of a unit structured for alternating weekends and designed for nurses who thrive on organization, consistency, and helping the team move through a busy shift.

Shift structure: 12-hour nights with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Experience matters—this role is looking for an RN with at least 1 year of Med Surg experience, strong comfort managing typical observation/admission workflows, and a team-first, pleasant approach. EPIC is highly preferred; ACLS is preferred. BLS is required.

Flu vaccination is required for all travelers; exemptions must be client approved.

Weather:

Expect a mix of comfortable days and cooler evenings, with varied skies and occasional rain. Humidity can shift throughout the week, so layering is helpful.
