Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environment in Concord, North Carolina as a travel RN supporting critically ill adults with complex needs. This 12-hour day shift role is centered on caring for ventilated patients, stroke and thrombectomy patients, opti-flow and BiPAP needs, overdose cases, endotool therapy, CRRT, GI bleeds, and select trauma cases. You’ll use advanced critical care skills daily—managing insulin, vasopressors, and sedation; overseeing invasive lines such as ART/CVP; interpreting cardiac rhythms; operating ventilators; coordinating blood products; and completing wound care/dressing changes.

You’ll join a unit designed around teamwork, with CNA support for turning, feeding, ADLs, blood sugars, lab draws, and mobility. RT and intensivist coverage is available 24/7, and hospitalist support runs 24/7 as well. Expect a stable workflow with telemetry hardwire monitors plus travel telemetry boxes, Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, and Omnicell for medication dispensing. While orientation is provided (NEO plus 2 departmental days), this assignment is best suited for an experienced ICU RN ready to contribute immediately in a Level 3 Trauma, Stroke Center of Excellence setting.
