Job Description:

Join a mid-sized hospital in Wheeling for a 13-week contract as a registered nurse working 12-hour night shifts. This assignment offers the chance to be part of a busy medical-surgical unit managing patients with diverse conditions such as CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and sepsis. You will be working with a team that typically operates with a charge RN on the floor, supporting a patient load with a ratio of approximately 1:6 or 7, depending on census. The role involves managing patient care in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including administering medications, titrating drip therapies like heparin based on lab results, and utilizing intermittent Bipap machines. RNs must be comfortable with flexible float assignments and remote telemetry monitoring, ensuring seamless care delivery throughout your shift. This unique setting provides an engaging mix of independent decision-making and team collaboration, all within a supportive work environment.
