Job Description:

Join a hospital-based Occupational Therapist team in Lafayette, Indiana, working in an acute care rehabilitation setting. This 13-week contract offers the chance to evaluate and develop treatment plans for patients across a wide spectrum of acuity levels, from ICU to progressive care units, addressing conditions such as cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, and respiratory illnesses. You will be responsible for assessing patients, creating treatment goals, implementing interventions like ADL training and therapeutic exercises, and providing discharge recommendations. The role involves a Monday through Friday schedule with one weekend day per month, working 8-hour days from 08:00 to 16:30. Expect to collaborate with a team of 19 healthcare professionals in a busy inpatient rehab environment, utilizing Cerner charting, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and functional independence.
