Job Description:

Join our team as a registered nurse in a vibrant Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a 13-week contract in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role offers the opportunity to work with neonates of all gestational ages in a Level 3 NICU setting, handling critical cases including low birth weight, high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and total body cooling. You'll be the cornerstone of care for vulnerable infants, managing patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:4, with a focus on supporting neonatal stability and recovery. The shift is a 48-hour week, with a flexible schedule that may include mostly weekends and on-call duties during low census periods. Experience with vent management, IV starts, and neonatal resuscitation is preferred. You’ll collaborate closely with neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and a supportive team, including support staff like CNAs and RTs. This assignment promises both impactful work and a chance to refine specialized skills in a fast-paced NICU environment.
